Brandon Marcello recently gave the same talk I watched at the 2023, Perform Better Summit in Providence at the Bridge Athletic Virtual Performance Summit in Feb ’25. The 2023 was titled, “[Sleep] – The Only True Fix-All for Health & Performance” and the 2025 talk was “Sleep – Human Performance Unlocked” and both titles were right on the money and actionable.

Everyone knows when you don’t get enough sleep, you feel fatigued, but check out all the different fatigue effects from not getting enough sleep.
On one hand they seem obvious and on another hand, wholly smokes.
Think of all the times you might be in one of those emotional states.
Or think of those cognitive times when it’s hard to work, communicate or be social.
And the physical. How many people do you know that get weird pains or feel cold more often than others? Trouble losing weight? And the diseases? How scary? How many people do you know that have had cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease? Were they fatigued from a lack of sleep? Or what about when you and/or when people get sick around the holidays. It could be the consumption, socialization, stress, … and it could be the lack of sleep from burning the candle at both ends. #Fascinating!
