Measurements & Orientation

Measurements will be held on a weekend morning from 7am to 9am before the start of boot camp phase and at the end of boot camp phase. It’s a 5 minute appointment. To ensure we stick to 5 minutes, you need to have your shoes and layers, you do not want to be weighed and photographed in, removed and be ready before entering the room, vs. removing your shoes and layers once you enter. This takes up precious time and causes a domino effect for everyone after you. Please be considerate.

Measurements last about 3-4 minutes each.  Please know I will be moving quickly and will avoid in depth conversations.  This is to get you in and out and to keep your peers waiting the least amount of time possible.  Any questions you have should be saved for the Orientation.

The reason we have M&T is to track your progress over time.

The subjective & objective data we measure are:

  • Photo
  • Blood pressure
  • Body weight
  • Body height
  • Age
  • Activity level (athlete or normal)
  • Dress Size / Pant Size
  • BMI
  • Body Fat %
  • Lean Mass
  • Fat Mass
  • Waist circumference
  • Hip Circumference

Orientation is from 12-3pm in the afternoon.  Here I will paint you a picture of what to expect, what you can expect from me and what I expect from you.  This is a good time to ask me any questions you have and to meet some of your new teammates. I’ll provide you with your nutrition plan, cardio plan and familiarize you with our workout card, our foam rolling routine and any exercises I think require extra attention.

Please refer to the Measurements & Testing pdf, for more specific questions regarding the tests and what they mean.

If you’d like to be measured on a date other than what is offered please contact me regarding my private training services.  You can hire me to meet you for a private appointment.

Your coach,

Mike Alves
